Benefits
- This is a fully funded studentship that includes 3 years of fees + a maintenance stipend at the UKRI level with a London weighting.
- It will also cover the ‘pending submission’ fee of £350 in the fourth year, with a stipend for maintenance up to the date of submission.
Requirements
- Must be accepted on the Law Research MPhil/PhD programme for October 2026.
- Postgraduate Research.
- This is a general studentship available for any area of legal research.
Awards are offered on the condition that the candidate has met/will meet all the conditions required for acceptance by the Dickson Poon School of Law. Awards are only valid for commencement in October 2026 and cannot be deferred. Awards cannot be transferred to another institution. Full conditions available upon offer.
Selection Process
- Applicants will be assessed by the Scholarship Panel in the spring which will rank candidate applications using RCUK scoring.
- Scoring is based on the applicant’s academic potential (50%) and the quality of their research proposal and its fit with the School (50%).
