The Ivy Gate Foundation Scholarship at De Montfort University is a generous award funded by alumnus Roger Le Tissier through The Ivy Gate Foundation. It provides £3,000 per year (for up to three years) to support UK undergraduate students from low-income or disadvantaged backgrounds. The scholarship is designed to ease the financial burden of higher education and enable students to make the most of their university experience and future opportunities.

Benefits

Successful applicants will receive £3,000 per academic year, for up to three years, paid directly into their bank account to support living costs and enhance their university experience.

Requirements

To be eligible, students must:

1. have made DMU their firm choice for the first year of a new full time BA/BSc undergraduate degree programme at De Montfort University in the current academic year (not distance learning)
2. Be a home/fee paying student — have a UK Student Support Number (English, Scottish, Welsh, and Northern Irish students)
3. Apply online to be income assessed by Student Finance
4. Demonstrate financial need — household income must indicate that students are eligible for means-tested support from Student Finance with a household income of up to and including £50,000
5. Be paying tuition fees under the new tuition fee regime of £9,250 or £9,535
6. Be self-funding — your course of study must not be externally funded
7. Hold no other form of donor or university funded scholarship
