The Marjorie Deane Financial Journalism Foundation was founded in 1998 by Marjorie Deane (1914-2008), a financial journalist who worked at The Economist.
The Foundation supports students undertaking postgraduate Financial Journalism degrees at City St George's, University of London and New York University.
There are two full fee scholarships available to City St George's students who have been offered a place on the MA Global Financial Journalism course (1 x home student, 1 x international student).

Applicants must have a confirmed offer on the MA Global Financial Journalism course for the 2025/26 academic year and be able to demonstrate financial need.
Application deadlines:
Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed.
The name of the scholarship recipients will be shared with the donor.
The recipients will be required to submit a one page annual report at the end of the academic year which will be sent to the donor.
The recipients may be asked to provide a testimonial on the impact the scholarship has made.
