The Moncler Scholarship is a prestigious opportunity offered by Moncler in collaboration with Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London (UAL). With a value of £40,000, the scholarship is designed to empower one outstanding student from a historically underrepresented background who is pursuing a Master's in Fashion. The funding aims to support access to high-quality fashion education by easing financial barriers related to tuition and living expenses.
Total value: £40,000
Home students: £25,000 in Year 1 and £15,000 in Year 2, covering tuition fees, course costs, and living expenses
International students: £25,000 in Year 1 and £15,000 in Year 2, covering tuition fees only
Living expenses (for Home students) will be paid termly via BACS
Be accepted into the first year of the full-time MA Fashion course at Central Saint Martins, UAL, beginning in October 2025
Demonstrate financial hardship (typically defined as household income below £80,000 per annum)
Be from a historically underrepresented background in the fashion industry
Submit all required documentation and apply by the stated deadline
Enrol in the academic year for which the award is offered
Step 1:
After you submit your application, it will initially be assessed by the Student Funding Service at University of the Arts London, where it will be ranked according to financial need. This process will be based on the financial information you supplied in your application.
N.B. further evidence may be requested at a later date in order to complete the assessment.
Step 2:
Candidates who meet the financial ranking thresholds will be forwarded to an assessment panel for shortlisting. The assessment panel will consider the applicants based on academic merit and creative excellence.
Step 3:
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview. If you are invited for the interview panel, you can share your screen to display additional work or an updated portfolio and show samples of your work to the interview panel.
N.B. Interviews may be via video conference.
Step 4:
The panel will make their final selections by marking the quality of application and the readiness of the applicant to achieve highly in the discipline, and the applicant’s ability to articulate how the Moncler Scholarship will contribute to their studies.
Closing date:
All applications must be received by 11PM (UK Time), Sunday 7 September 2025.
N.B. UAL cannot accept applications that are incomplete or arrive late.
Panel interview:
The panel will be scheduled for October 2025. The date will be communicated to shortlisted students.

PDF Portfolio (max 20MB) containing:
Title page with name and course title
Introductory page (max 500 words) on work, inspiration, and methodology
Up to 15 pages of best work (e.g. images, essays, videos, etc.), each clearly labelled and dated
Curriculum Vitae / Résumé
Evidence of household income, e.g.:
3 months of bank statements (student and/or parents/partner)
Recent payslips or tax statements
Scholarship award letters or savings/investments evidence
Evidence of medical condition (if applicable):
Recent (within 3 months) signed letters from doctors or hospitals
Evidence of financial hardship (if applicable):
Overdraft notices, debt collection letters, overdue rent notices, etc.
All non-English documents must be submitted with translated versions.

*Financial hardship refers to unexpected events or unforeseen changes that have negative impacts
on cash flow or finances. For example: changes in income or expenditure, changes in employment status (such as losing a job or having hours reduced). This does not include last month’s rent or bills.
