The Bartlett Development Planning Unit (DPU) has had many long and vital partnerships with colleagues on the African continent. Indeed, those relationships extend to the very origins of the DPU and underpin much of our work. Yet we work in an educational context in which the programmes we offer are financially beyond the reach of many international partners, and disproportionately so with regard to those based in Sub-Saharan Africa. The DPU70 Scholarships are intended to go some small way to helping to support the collaborations that are so fundamental to us all.

Full overseas tuition fees, an annual allowance of £16,008 to cover living and study expenses for the normal duration of the programme at UCL. Additionally, a flight to/from the UK, UK Study Visa costs, English language assessment costs, health test costs and the NHS Immigration Health Supplement charge. All Promise scholars, including DPU70 scholars, will also receive on-going academic and career support during their study. Full international fees plus living stipend and travel to and from the country of domicile for the one-year duration of the master’s programme. The exact value will vary slightly, depending on airfares and other costs of travel.

Please note: To be eligible for The DPU70 Scholarships, you must have an offer of a place on a master’s course at The Bartlett Development Planning Unit. Only when you have an offer to study on one of our master’s courses can you apply for The DPU70 scholarships.
