University of Bristol PhD Studentship in Computational Biological Chemistry 2025

The University of Bristol is calling for applications for this fully funded studentship. This project aims to investigate the functional dynamics of therapeutically significant targets, from enzymes linked to drug resistance to human receptors involved in neurotransmission, using state-of-the-art computational approaches and digital technologies, aligning with the broader research programme in the Centre for Computational Chemistry at the University of Bristol.

Benefits

 A full studentship will cover tuition fees, a training support fee and a stipend (£20,780p.a. in 2025/26, updated each year) for 4 years.

Requirements

• Candidates who aspire to work in a multidisciplinary project are encouraged to apply.
• Applicants must have obtained, or be about to obtain, a First or Upper Second Class UK degree, or the equivalent qualifications gained outside the UK, in Chemistry or a related discipline (such as Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical engineering, Life sciences, Physics).
• The successful candidate will be based in the School of Chemistry in the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Bristol.
