The University of Bristol is committed to supporting students who are navigating higher education without traditional family support. The Standalone Bursary offers £1,500 per academic year, paid in two equal instalments, to full-time UK undergraduate students who are care leavers, estranged from their parents, or have no living parents. Designed to provide financial relief and stability, this bursary ensures that students facing these challenges can continue their studies with greater peace of mind. Applications for the 2024/25 academic year are now open, with a deadline of 14 July 2025
