The Cumbria International UG Scholarship offers up to £4,500 towards tuition fees (£1,500 per year of study for a 3-year degree) for eligible full-time taught undergraduate programmes at the University of Cumbria for the 2026/27 academic year.

Requirements
International applicants holding an offer for the following undergraduate programmes may be eligible for the Cumbria International UG Scholarship:
- Any bachelor's programme delivered full-time in person on the Ambleside Campus
- Any bachelor's programme delivered full-time in person on the Carlisle Campus (both Brampton Road and Fusehill Street)
- Any bachelor's programme delivered full-time in person on the Lancaster Campus
The following undergraduate programmes are not eligible for the Cumbria International Undergraduate Scholarship:
- Undergraduate Pre-Registration Health Courses
- All UG programmes delivered by distance or blended learning
- All UG programmes delivered in collaboration with an educational partner
- Programmes delivered within the International College
Note:
- Students applying for a bachelor's degree with a placement year may be eligible for the International Undergraduate Scholarship, however, it must be noted that the award is not payable during the placement year.
- Students progressing onto undergraduate programmes at University of Cumbria, from the International College, will be considered eligible for the International Undergraduate Scholarship providing all eligibility criteria have been met.
Other Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for the Cumbria International UG Scholarship, applicants must hold an offer of a place of study on an eligible full-time bachelor's programme (minimum 360 credits) at Ambleside, Carlise (Brampton Road), Carlisle (Fusehill Street) or Lancaster Campus.
- Only applicants with an offer of a place in September 2026 or January 2027 will be considered for the award.
- For students enrolling on programmes lasting more than one year the scholarship is awarded each year of the programme as a fee reduction (maximum 3 years of study).
- All applicants must be self-funding students with overseas fee status.
- Only offer holders with, or on track to be awarded, the minimum required academic qualifications will be considered for an award
