University of East Anglia VCs International Postgraduate Excellence Scholarship (January 2026)

The Vice Chancellor’s International Postgraduate Excellence Scholarship is an application based award open to those who hold an offer of study at UEA. Our panel sits on a regular basis with submissions of a high quality being offered £7,000 as a tuition fee discount. Successful applicants will be informed shortly after each panel.

This scholarship is? designed to reward international fee status applicants who have been offered a place to study with UEA and who can clearly and concisely explain how studying here at UEA will help them to make an outstanding contribution to their chosen field of study as well as the wider UEA community.

UEA do not offer this scholarship for MSc Occupational Therapy, MSc Physiotherapy, MSc Dietetics or MSc Nursing courses.

Applicants who are nationals of Bangladesh, India or Pakistan are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Selection Process

Successful offer holders will be able to clearly and concisely explain how studying here at UEA will help them to make an outstanding contribution to their chosen field of study and how they can contribute to the UEA campus society.

These awards are designed to reward applicants who have been offered a place to study with UEA and who can clearly and concisely explain how studying here at UEA will help them to make an outstanding contribution to their chosen field of study by answering the following question:

How will your experience at UEA help you to develop your knowledge and skills for the future?

• The wider opportunities available as an international student at UEA

Applications to the 2025 International Excellence Scheme are to be submitted via video or by completing a written statement of no more than 500 words.

This is an opportunity to go beyond your personal statement, mention UEA specifically and tell the scholarship body why UEA is the right university for you.

When applying for this scholarship,?you must already be in possession of a conditional or unconditional offer for a full-time postgraduate degree course starting at UEA in January 2026. Your offer should state that you are an international?fee-paying ?student.

Applicants in receipt of another UEA scholarship or award should note that scholarships are exclusive.? In a situation where a candidate is offered multiple awards,? the greater amount will be offered.

Applications have a deadline of midday (GMT) on 27 November 2025.
