The Vice Chancellor's Global Impact and Leadership Scholarship rewards outstanding international students with £10,000 towards their post-graduate tuition fees.

The application process asks you to clearly and concisely explain how studying here at UEA will help you to contribute to your chosen field of study and become and global leader by answering the following questions in no more than 200 words:

  1. Why did you select UEA and apply for your chosen course?

  2. If you could change one thing in your country what would it be and how would that impact society?

  • MSc Global Plant Health

  • MSc Plant Genetics and Crop Improvement

  • MA The Arts of Africa Oceania and The Americas

  • Online or distance learning courses.

How To Apply

Applications to our January 2027 Vice Chancellor’s Global Impact and Leadership Scholarship are to be submitted in written format. We would like you to answer the following two questions.

  1. Why did you select UEA and apply for your chosen course?

  2. If you could change one thing in your country what would it be and how would that impact society?

Each answer should be limited to 200 words.

When applying for this scholarship,?you must already be in possession of a conditional or unconditional offer for an eligible postgraduate taught course starting at UEA in January 2027. You should have achieved or be expecting to achieve at least a 2:1, or equivalent, in your undergraduate degree to be eligible. Your offer letter should state that you are an overseas?fee-paying ?student.

The deadline for application is 23:59 (BST) on Friday 30th October 2026.

Our panels will sit in September and early November to review scholarship applications. Applications of a high quality will be offered £10,000 as a tuition fee discount. If you are successful, you will be informed shortly after the panel has met and you will be asked to pay your tuition fee deposit within two weeks of receiving the outcome email to retain the scholarship. If the deposit is not received within this timeframe the scholarship may be offered to another student.

Applicants who pay their deposit within the two weeks are likely to meet our early deposit criteria to receive a further £500 discount on fees - for more information please see our International Early Payment Awards page.
