The School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures at the University of Edinburgh is delighted to invite applications for a postgraduate scholarship to be awarded in 2024-2025.
The University of Edinburgh is the sixth oldest university in the UK and the oldest civic foundation in the English-speaking world. Today, the University is home to over 45,000 students spread across five campuses around the city. We are offering one award, to cover tuition fees at the Home/UK rate. This award will be tenable for one academic year and will be deducted from your tuition fee.
All award holders are expected to be energetic members of our postgraduate community, and will engage with opportunities to present their work to the wider student and staff body during the period covered by their award.
Applicants must be domiciled in Scotland for a minimum of four years prior to starting the degree. Overseas applicants will be liable for the difference between the UK and Overseas fees rates.
This award if offered to new applicants who have applied for admission to a postgraduate taught Masters or Masters by Research degree programme of study in the relevant field of study at the University commencing in September 2025.
Applicants must have, or expect to obtain, the equivalent of a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level.
Both taught Masters and Masters by Research programmes are eligible for this award. Applications will be considered from UK/Overseas applicants wishing to study full-time/part-time programmes.
This award will be awarded to an eligible masters student on one of the following three programmes:-
