University of Greenwich 2024-25 Royal Navy and Royal Marine Bursary

This bursary is offered by The Crown Charity, Greenwich Hospital, to support former serving members and/or their sons or daughters. It offers up to £3,000 towards the academic costs of an undergraduate degree.

Grants are means-tested and are normally awarded for one academic year. Depending on your circumstances, Greenwich Hospital may extend the award for up to four years.

The successful candidates are awarded a scholarship of up to GBP 3,000.

Requirements

  • The applicant must be a first-year undergraduate student at the university.
  • The applicant must be a former serving member of the Royal Navy or Royal Marines, or the son or daughter of a serving or retired member.
    • They must have served a minimum of three years in the relevant force.
  • The applicant must have applied for student support (where applicable).
  • The applicant's household income must be less than £40,000.
