University of Hull Humber Grant for Students in Financial Need 2024

If you’re under 25 years old and a Care Leaver, Young Adult Carer or assessed as Estranged from your family by Student Finance England, you can apply for the Humber Grant. This is an additional support package worth £1,000, made up of cash and vouchers.

The grant is paid in addition to other financial support you receive and doesn’t need to be paid back. The Humber Grant is paid in two instalments, usually in December and March.

New students in 2023/24 will also receive a £200 voucher to spend at UniKitOut on essentials such as bedding and kitchen equipment to get you started. We also include a £100 supermarket e-voucher in our Humber Grant package to help purchase food and essentials.

Aim and Benefits of University of Hull Undergraduate Scholarship

The University of Hull Humber Grant 2024 provides up to GBP 1,000 (including book vouchers).

Requirements for University of Hull Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification

  • Students need to be UK students, have permanent residence in the UK, and be aged 25 or under on the first day of the academic year. 
  • Students under 25 years old and are Care Leaver, Young Adult Carers, or are estranged from their families, can apply for an award.
  • Students will need to provide evidence of their status as a Care Leaver or Young Adult Carer, or your estrangement from your family.
