The Law School has established a major fund to support Thai students who study a second LLM at the University’s Canterbury campus.
The Law School has a substantial Thai student community, many of whom undertake two LLM programmes with us. We are delighted to support our taught postgraduate Thai student community at Canterbury, and help facilitate their professional ambitions, through this award.

University of Kent Postgraduate Scholarship
Aim and Benefits of University of Kent Postgraduate Scholarship
This award provides a tuition fee discount of £3,000 to the first 25 entrants who meet the eligibility conditions stated above.
Requirements for University of Kent Postgraduate Scholarship Qualification
- Applicants must hold a valid passport demonstrating that they hold Thai nationality.
- Be classified by the University of Kent as an overseas student for tuition fee purposes.
- Be fully self-funding your studies.
- To have completed, or be completing, a taught LLM at the University of Kent
- To have applied for a second taught Kent LLM at the Canterbury Campus of the University of Kent for entry in January 2026
- To have been made an offer of a place on the second taught LLM by the scholarship application deadline.
- Submit a scholarship application (details below) by the scholarship application deadline (please note that we are unable to consider applicants for the award without an application)
POINTS TO NOTE:
- You must meet the academic conditions of entry/be accepted for entry for the award to be given.
- This award cannot be held in conjunction with other awards and scholarships offered by Kent Law School, or the Division for the Study of Law, Society, and Social Justice (the award which provides the greater monetary value overall will be given only). Please contact us for further information.
- Graduates of the University of Kent are eligible for the award if the meet the stated conditions.
- Where students are required to continue their studies beyond their original period of registration, the award will only be provided for that original period of registration.
- We have a limited number of scholarships available; please note that they will be awarded on a first come first serve basis.
