The Kent Future Student Scholarship – Global is a £2,000 tuition fee discount offered by the University of Kent to eligible self-funded international students from selected countries who are commencing full-time postgraduate taught programmes in September 2025. Designed to support students from around the world, this scholarship requires applicants to accept their offer and pay the tuition fee deposit by 31 July 2025. No separate scholarship application is required—qualified students will automatically be considered.

The Kent Future Student Scholarship – Global offers a £2,000 tuition fee discount for one year of full-time postgraduate study starting in September 2025. It is available to self-funded international students from selected countries who pay their tuition fee deposit by 31 July 2025. There’s no need to apply separately—eligible students will automatically be considered. The scholarship may be combined with a partner or progression discount, and U.S. students using federal loans may still qualify without paying the deposit upfront.

Open to postgraduate taught applicants of full time UK programmes domiciled in:

  • Hong Kong
  • Indonesia
  • Italy
  • Jordan
  • Malaysia
  • Qatar
  • South Korea
  • Spain
  • Thailand
  • Turkey
  • United Arab Emirates
  • USA*
  • Vietnam

Applicants must have paid their tuition fee deposit by 31st July, 2025 for a £2000 discount**.

This scholarship is for students beginning their degrees in September 2025 only.

Please note that this scholarship is only available to students assessed as self-funded overseas fee payers.

Applicants who have applied for a Masters which includes an integrated pre-Masters are not eligible to receive the scholarship.

Applicants who have applied for distance learning programmes are not eligible.

Applicants who have applied for a PCert or PDip programme are not eligible.

This award is not stackable unless the applicant is coming to us through a partner or progression agreement, in which case both the Kent Future Students Global Scholarship - Postgraduate Taught and partner/progression discount can be awarded. Should you apply for a higher value scholarship and be successful then you will receive the higher value award. The Kent Future Students Global Scholarship - Postgraduate Taught will then be retracted.

This award is also open to international students who are normally domiciled in an eligible country, but who are currently resident in the UK for purposes of study.

How To Apply

There is no application process. All eligible applicants who have paid their deposit by the stated deadlines will be contacted with a scholarship offer in due course, which they will need to accept.

*In accordance with US Federal and Title IV regulations, a tuition fee deposit will not be a requirement for US students to be awarded this scholarship. The scholarship may still be awarded before a tuition fee deposit has been paid.

All international students including US students are required to pay a tuition fee deposit to secure their place, demonstrate commitment to studying, and to ensure the university can issue a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) for visa applications. Students who are eligible and apply for a US federal student loan to cover the full cost of the tuition fees will be exempt from paying the tuition fee deposit. Any applicant who provides verified documents confirming that they will be fully funded by a scholarship or sponsored by a national/government-based organisation, will also be exempt from paying the tuition fee deposit.
