University of Kent International Scholarships Taught Masters Students 2024

The University has a long tradition of welcoming international students from around the world and is pleased to be able to offer a number of scholarships for entry at taught master's level.

The scholarships are worth £3,000 towards the cost of tuition fees for one year and are offered to nationals of any country paying overseas fees, who are beginning a programme in January 2024.

Requirements

• The student should submit an application for a taught postgraduate degree course at the University of Kent (any study location is acceptable) starting in January 2024
• The applicant needs to have been determined to be a foreign fee-payer.
• By the scholarship deadline, the applicant had to have accepted an unconditional offer that they had received.
• Please be aware that only international students who pay fees are eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship is not available to EU students who qualify for the special EU fee rate for January 2024.

Application Documents

• The candidate should submit the required documents that support the application.
• A personal statement of no more than 500 words outlining “why you feel you should be awarded the scholarship and how you might support Kent in its efforts as a global institution.”

The university is happy to be able to provide a number of scholarships for entrance at the taught master's level, continuing its longstanding tradition of accepting international students from all around the world. The scholarships, which are available to citizens of any nation paying overseas fees and starting a program in January 2024, are worth £3,000 toward the cost of tuition costs for a year.

Applications for the International Scholarship must be made via your applicant portal. Once logged in, click on the applications tab, and select your submitted application. Click on the funding button. You will then see a list of scholarships that you may be eligible to apply for. You will be able to apply for the International Scholarship once you have received an offer. Click on Apply and follow the steps to submit your application.

Scholarships will be shortlisted based on academic achievement to date. Final decisions will also take into consideration your full programme application including your personal statement and any references received.

The final recruitment and selection panel(s) will take place in the week commencing 11 December 2023. Applicants will be notified of the final decision shortly thereafter. If successful, scholarship offer must be accepted within 2 weeks of award.

The University of Kent reserves the right not to allocate the awards if the selection panel identifies no suitable candidates.

The International Scholarship is subject to full University of Kent Scholarship Terms and Conditions, which will be provided to successful candidates at the point of award.
