Funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), this scholarship supports healthcare professionals pursuing the MSc in Applied Health and Care Research at the University of Kent (Centre for Health and Service Studies - CHSS). The programme builds practical research skills for those working across health and care settings.
Full tuition fees at the home rate
Annual stipend at UKRI rate: £10,390
Funding provided for 2 years part-time study
Applicants must:
Be current healthcare professionals (e.g., nurses, social workers, AHPs, etc.)
Have a maximum of 5 years’ practice post-registration
Be registered with a UK health/social care regulatory body such as:
NMC, HCPC, GMC, GDC, SWE, GOC, etc.
Hold at least a 2:2 honours degree in Social Sciences
Be working part-time or have employer support for study leave
Selection Criteria includes:
Relevance of professional experience
Suitability for research training
Employer support for study (discussed during interview)
