The School of Psychology at Kent is excited to offer Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) Scholarships in Psychology for September 2025, designed to support graduate students who are keen to enhance their teaching experience while pursuing advanced studies.

Requirements

  • Be enrolled in or have completed a postgraduate psychology program (Masters or PhD) with a merit or above (65% or above).
  • Have a strong academic record and a keen interest in psychology.
  • Having secured a willing supervisory team (discuss your application and proposal in advance with the proposed supervisors)
  • Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for teaching and supporting students.

Previous teaching experience is beneficial, but not required.

  • A CV detailing your academic background and any relevant experience.
  • A personal statement outlining your interest in the scholarship, your career goals, and your approach to teaching.
  • A research proposal between (1000-3000 words)
