University of Leicester is delighted to offer our International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship to international students demonstrating exceptional academic achievement.

This merit-based scholarship, worth £5,000 per year, is offered to international fee-paying students applying for an undergraduate degree* at the University of Leicester who achieve or exceed the academic grades outlined below.

Requirements

International students (classified as international for fee purposes) applying for full-time undergraduate courses, starting in September 2025.

Interview Dates and Process

Selection is based on academic achievement. Students who exceed the standard A-Level entry requirements (e.g., achieving AAA when ABB is required) will automatically be considered for the scholarship.

Application Deadline

There is no separate application for the scholarship. Eligible students will be automatically considered when they apply for admission to the University of Leicester.
