University of Portsmouth Faculty of Science and Health Global Postgraduate Taught Scholarship (January 2026)

For January 2026 entry, eligible applicants will be considered for the Science and Health International Postgraduate Taught Scholarship. This scholarship will take the form of a £2,000 fee reduction that will apply to your first year of study.

Requirements

• You must hold and have accepted an offer to study a postgraduate taught course within the Faculty of Science and Health at the University of Portsmouth.
• You must have achieved a 1st class honours undergraduate degree classification (or equivalent). If you have not completed your undergraduate studies, you must have evidence that you are predicted a 1st class honours undergraduate degree classification (or equivalent).
• List of eligible courses: 
  • MSc Applied Sport and Exercise Performance
  • MSc Strength, Conditioning and Rehabilitation
  • MSc Clinical Exercise Physiology
  • MSc Sport Management
  • MSc Engineering Geology
  • MSc Geographical Information Systems
  • MSc Biotechnology
  • MSc Medical Biotechnology
• You must be a self-funded student on a full-time, on campus postgraduate course for January 2026. 
• International College Portsmouth (ICP) students are excluded from this scholarship.
• The scholarship is not available for students who have previously studied at the University of Portsmouth.
• If awarded, you cannot defer the scholarship.
• The scholarship will take the form of a £2,000 fee reduction, effective at the time of registration and will only apply to your first year of study.
• The scholarship can be used in combination with the University of Portsmouth VC Global Development Scholarship where terms and conditions allow. The scholarship cannot be used in combination with any other scholarship, discount or fee offer.
• The deadline for applications is the 14 November 2025. Applicants will be informed of the outcome by 21 November 2025, and successful candidates will have until 1 December 2025 to meet the conditions of the scholarship offer (i.e., paid the deposit and have an unconditional offer).
• The discounted fee will be stated on your Confirmation of Acceptance for Study (CAS). This is the final document you receive when you have an unconditional offer to study at the University of Portsmouth and have paid your deposit.
• Only applicants who have been assessed as overseas students for tuition fee purposes can access this scholarship. EU, EEA or Swiss nationals will not be eligible to apply for this scholarship.
• Due to the number of applications received, we are unable to offer individual feedback and only successful candidates will be contacted.
