Benefits

£3,000 in the first year of study, paid directly to students for maintenance and living costs

Requirements

To be eligible for consideration for one of the scholarships candidates must:

• Have applied and received a formal offer of admission on a University of Reading undergraduate Sociology programme for admission in the academic year 2026-2027.
• Firmly accept their offer of admission in order to be considered.
• Not already be in receipt of a full tuition fee scholarship or sponsorship.
• Not already be in receipt of a Global Sustainability Leaders Scholarship or Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship
• Not already be enrolled on an undergraduate programme in the UK.
• Demonstrate to the University academic achievement and commitment to the discipline of Sociology.

Application Deadline

How To Apply

• No application form is required for this scholarship – all students who choose the BSc Sociology, BSc Sociology with Placement Year, BSc Sociology and Criminology, or BSc Sociology and Criminology with Placement Year at the University of Reading as their Firm UCAS choice are considered automatically. The closing date for consideration is 6 May 2026.
