This scholarship was supported by a generous donation from Barbara Bennett Ure and forms part of the St Andrews Access Scholarship. The award seeks to provide financial assistance to academically gifted students who would otherwise struggle with the cost of studying at the University of St Andrews.
Entrant students with a Home fee status who are domiciled in Scotland, and have been educated at a state-funded secondary school in Scotland for the duration of their secondary education are eligible to apply. This award is intended to enable students to live in St Andrews during term-time for their studies.
St Andrews is a unique and captivating place, and the University is a key part of its charm. Students will receive GBP 4,400 towards maintenance (8 awards).
This scholarship is available through the St Andrews Access Award application in the View and continue my scholarships and funding in the Scholarships and Funding section of My application.
After you have applied to a new course beginning in the academic year 2025-2026, you will be provided with login details for the My application portal. You must allow at least two working days for processing and issue of your log in details before you can apply for this scholarship.
