The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences is offering a £700 fee reduction for applicants to the LLM Criminal Justice & Penal Change, LLM Human Rights Law and LLM Mediation & Conflict Resolution degree programmes who are working at any third sector/NGO organisation in the field of criminal justice and penal change, human rights or conflict resolution.

Requirements
- At the time of application, have a paid or volunteer position in any third sector/NGO working in the areas of human rights, criminal justice and penitentiary reform, or conflict resolution.
- The student should be prepared to begin their academic studies in the UK by September 2023, when the academic year officially begins.
- The student should accept an unconditional academic offer to pursue an LLM in Human Rights Law, an LLM in Criminal Justice and penal Change, or an LLM in Mediation and Conflict Resolution.
- For applicants to be eligible for this award, they must fulfill each of the aforementioned requirements.
- Recipients of the scholarship must enroll in the 2023–2024 academic year and maintain full eligibility throughout their studies in order to earn their grant.
Other terms and conditions
- Both the total amount given and the number of scholarships available are subject to change.
- Students who are not eligible are those who receive reduced tuition from partner colleges.
- Each scholarship will be worth £700. The scholarship will be given, contingent on academic success, toward the cost of the student's tuition.
- During their studies, scholarship winners will be asked to participate in student ambassador activities, such as encouraging events and activities aimed at recruiting new students.
- Deferring their offer of admission will disqualify students.
- Scholarships will not be awarded to students who transfer to a program outside of the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences.
- There will be a revolving scholarship program. Early in the application round, awards could be given out.
- The University of Strathclyde grants scholarships to students just once every academic year.
- The decision to provide scholarships rests solely on the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences. Appeals won't be taken into account.
