University of Sunderland Away From Home Bursary 2025

The University of Sunderland Away from Home Bursary recognises the additional costs incurred for students who do not live within north-east England and will need to travel from an eligible postcode to study at the University.

Benefits

Eligible students will receive a £2,450 support package over three academic years, including:

• £600 for fuel or transport costs

• £1,000 discount on university-managed accommodation in Year 1

• £250 for a kitchen and bedding bundle in Year 1

• £200 for summer storage in Year 1 and Year 2

• £400 graduation support package in Year 3

Requirements

• You must be a ‘home’ student on an eligible course.
• You must be a first-year student applying to start your studies in autumn 2025.
• You must live in an eligible postcode within north-west England or Yorkshire and the Humber.
