Requirements

• You must be a ‘home’ student applying for an eligible course
• You must be a first-year, full-time student applying to start your studies in autumn 2025
• You must have been selected within the last 18 months to compete at Regional, National or International level
• You must identify as a woman or non-binary playing for a women's football team
• You must participate in a sport recognised by BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport)

Interview Dates and Process

You can apply from February 2025. The deadline for applications is Sunday 31 August 2025.

Eligible students will receive payment on the fifth working day of February 2026, February 2027, and February 2028.

Applicants will be selected based on the following:

1. Competitive Level:
   You must have been selected within the last 18 months to compete at Regional, National, or International level in women’s football.

2. Sport Recognition:
   Your sport must be recognized by BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport).

3. Academic Status:
   You must be an eligible first-year undergraduate student, enrolled full-time and starting your course in autumn 2025.

4. Commitment to Performance and Development:
   Selection may also consider your dedication to both academic studies and athletic development, as well as your potential to contribute to the university’s sporting success.
