There are two scholarships for applicants to the School of Global Studies. In support of our commitment to widening participation in higher education at all levels, we are concerned to address the current under-representation at the University of Sussex of Masters students from UK Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds.
The University of Sussex is a public research university situated in Falmer, near Brighton in Sussex. The university received its Royal Charter in August 1961, and was a founding member of the 1994 Group of research-intensive universities promoting excellence in research and teaching. Sussex counts three Nobel Prize winners, 14 Fellows of the Royal Society, six Fellows of the British Academy and a winner of the Crafoord Prize among its faculty. To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants need to be UK students classified as 'Home' for fees.
The scholarship is for Black and minority ethnic applicants*, this information will be verified using the Masters application and is separate from the academic assessment of the scholarship application.
Scholarship applicants need to have accepted an offer of a place on one of the following courses in the School of Global Studies:
