University of Sussex India Scholarship (Masters) (2025)

The University of Sussex is offering a £4,000 tuition fee reduction for eligible Indian nationals who have been accepted into a full-time, taught Master’s degree starting in September 2025. This scholarship aims to support talented Indian students pursuing postgraduate study in the UK.

Requirements

  • To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

    • Be a national of India
    • Be classified as ‘overseas’ for fee purposes
    • Be taking up a place on an eligible full-time Masters degree, starting September 2025
    • Be self-financing
    • Students with an offer to study in the University of Sussex Business School will be able to combine this scholarship with the Business School International Masters Award (2025). Students with an offer to study in the School of Engineering & Informatics will be able to combine this scholarship with the Engineering & Informatics International Masters Award (2025).
  • Who isn’t eligible

    You are not eligible for this scholarship if your full tuition fees will be paid to the university by a sponsor (and you are exempt from paying a tuition fee deposit).

    You are not eligible for this scholarship if you are progressing from the University of Sussex International Study Centre (ISC).

    You are not eligible for this scholarship if you are going to study any of the following:

      • Certificates and Diplomas (including PGCE)
      • Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
      • Courses at IDS
      • Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status)
      • Degrees in Social Work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
      • Online courses
      • School direct teaching courses
      • Masters funded by the research councils (e.g. ESRC 1+3 funding)

    As this scholarship is funded by the University of Sussex, it is not possible to combine this with other Sussex scholarships (e.g. Chancellor's International Scholarship).

Application Documents

  • Completed application for an eligible Master’s course
  • Indian passport or official document proving Indian nationality (if requested)
  • Proof of self-funding (not being sponsored)

  • There is no separate application for this scholarship.
  • Eligible students will receive the award automatically upon receiving an offer.
  • Confirmation of the scholarship will be emailed, and it will be included in your CAS for your visa application.
