The Global Central Banking and Financial Regulation programme has been designed for professionals working in the banking and financial sectors who require a level of flexibility in order to develop their career alongside other commitments.
Monetary policy and financial regulation are constantly evolving. Current issues are how to manage quantitative tightening and maintain financial stability, whilst suppressing the risk of any inflationary surge. This urgent need sits on top of the pressure to encourage FinTech, support a sustainable economy, and find ways to utilise the insights of behavioural finance and the potential of Big Data. It is in this climate that, in collaboration with the Bank of England, we have developed the Global Central Banking and Financial Regulation qualification.

Academic record - You must have an upper second class honours degree at undergraduate level from a UK university or the equivalent from an overseas university
However, applications are also welcomed from candidates who do not have the academic qualifications but possess demonstrable experience of working in banking and financial regulation at a level sufficient with the requirements of the course.
Data and finance are used throughout the programme and practitioners often use some modelling to make their points. Therefore students need to be comfortable with statistical data and some maths. Maths booster materials are available for any student who feels they would benefit. The standard required is not high, all that is needed is a willingness to engage.
If English is not your first language, you must meet a minimum overall standard in a recognised test of English, examples are shown below. You must show a good balance across all sections of the test and it must have been taken within two years of starting the course. We will require your certificates as evidence.
