University of York Future Voices Scholarship programme 2025

A package of financial and industry support to welcome talented UK undergraduates from Black, Asian, Gypsy, Traveller and ethnically diverse backgrounds to our creative community. This support comprises a bursary of £1,200 per year for three years of the programme, plus targeted mentoring.

Requirements

Open to UK (home) students only.

In order to be eligible you must also have an offer for a place on one of the following courses:

• BA Business of the Creative Industries
• BA Music
• BA Music and Sound Recording
• BA Theatre: Writing, Directing and Performance
• BSc Film and Television Production
• BSc Interactive Media

The opportunity is open to offer holders and current first year students, with one award available per programme per year.

Interview Dates and Process

Application deadline: Wednesday 24 September 2025, 11.59pm BST

The University of York has a panel of selected 'Future Voices Scholarship' staff and students who'll meet and shortlist the eligible students early in the first semester (around the beginning of September). Decisions will then be discussed and decided as to who will be the recipients of the award. You will be informed in the first three weeks of semester one if you are successful.
