University of York Robert Ackrill Haigh Scholarship 2025

In memory of Robert Ackrill-Haigh, this scholarship is awarded to a talented 1st year undergraduate string player. 

The successful candidate will receive £990 at the end of their first year, subject to demonstrating skill, improvement and dedication in their orchestral playing and performance.The scholarship will be awarded to a 1st year undergraduate string player.

Requirements

• Open to International (including EU) and UK (home) students.
• Open to students in the School of Arts and Creative Technologies.
• Candidates must be studying for an undergraduate degree in Music or Music and Sound Recording and have successfully completed Year 1.
• The award will be based on the string player's demonstration of skill, improvement and dedication in their orchestral playing and performance throughout their first year.
