Requirements
To be considered for the USA London Met International Excellence Postgraduate Scholarship, you must:
- Be a US citizen and US resident.
- Be applying for a full-time master’s degree at London Metropolitan University's London campuses starting in January 2026.
- Be considered an International-fee payer.
- Have graduated, or be expected to graduate, with a first-class bachelor’s degree (equivalent to a 3.7–4.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale) by 30 November 2025.
- Have accepted a conditional or unconditional offer of admission for January 2026.
- Be able to demonstrate financial need in a written personal statement (part of the application form).
- Have an IELTS 7.5 (minimum) unless exempt under English language requirements (most US citizens are exempt).
- Be available to begin studies at London Metropolitan University in January 2026 – no deferral permitted.
- Be 18 or above on enrolment and meet UK immigration requirements.
Selection Process
- 2 awards available for 2 students from the USA.
- Academic excellence (first-class honours or equivalent e.g. US GPA 3.7–4.0).
- Demonstrated financial need through your personal statement.
- Answers within application form.
- Application deadline: 15 October 2025
- Notification of results: 30 November 2025

- Complete the International Excellence Postgraduate Scholarship application form and indicate your wish to be considered for this award. The form can be found at the bottom of the scholarship webpage
- You must also declare if you would like to take up non-funded accommodation at International Student House (ISH). Please note: if you are awarded the scholarship and select this option, you will be required to sign a housing contract directly with ISH.
