Goldsmiths University of London 2023 Care Experienced and Estranged Students Bursary

Goldsmiths is committed to ensuring that care experienced and estranged students are well supported from application to graduation. For information on the type of advice and support that you can access please see our dedicated web pages at www.gold.ac.uk/care-leavers/.

As part of this support we offer a bursary to care experienced and estranged students. This is a monetary award of £1000 per year for undergraduate students. This money can help with buying books and equipment, travel or anything that will make your time at Goldsmiths easier.

£1,000 for each year of study on your undergraduate programme, or £1,000 for one year of your PGCE programme at Goldsmiths

Requirements

  • Have been in care or kinship care in the UK at some point in your life up to the age of 18, be estranged from your parents or legal guardians (and under 25 at the start of the programme) or be an unaccompanied asylum-seeking child
  • Be eligible for Home fees
  • Be holding an offer of undergraduate (or non-salaried PGCE) study from Goldsmiths.

How To Apply

To allow us to check your eligibility for the bursary, please complete this simple information form. If you have any questions or unsure about anything please contact the Scholarships Team at scholarships (@gold.ac.uk) 

You will then automatically be awarded the bursary. The award will be paid after you have enrolled on your programme.

Payments will normally be made via the Higher Education Bursaries and Scholarships Scheme (HEBSS). You may need to provide bank details in order for the payment to be received.

You don't need to reapply for this bursary once you have been awarded.
