Robert McKee, a Fulbright Scholar, is the most sought-after screenwriting lecturer around the globe – having dedicated 30 years to educating and mentoring screenwriters, poets, novelists, playwrights, documentary makers, producers and directors internationally.  

Stories live inside us all. Too often, talented writers from diverse backgrounds remain unnurtured and lost. I’m thrilled to partner with Regent’s University London and give voice to those yet to be heard.

Requirements

  • This scholarship is open to all nationalities
  • This scholarship is open for students enrolled in an eligible Undergraduate program
  • Eligible Programs: BA (Hons) Screenwriting and Producing and BA (Hons) Screenwriting and Producing with Foundation.

How To Apply

Please complete the following task and send your statement and script as attachments to [email protected].

Please include your full name, nationality and student number within the email.

Submit a short film script

Please submit a short film script, in correct screenplay formatting, of up to five minutes in length and a 1,000 word statement answering the following question:

  • ‘Why would being a Robert McKee International Screenwriting scholar be important to you?’ 

If your application is shortlisted 

If shortlisted, you will be invited to interview (face-to-face or online) with members of the Film, Media & Performance team at Regent’s. You will be asked to discuss your short drama script and points from your statement, as well as answer other interview questions.
